What it is
Crypsey is a mortgage performance analytics platform for the Canadian market. It collects anonymized loan-level data, runs machine-learning models over it, and gives the result back as dashboards and an API: default rates, prepayment behaviour and benchmarks a lender can hold its own book against.
Who it is for
Its case is that Canadian mortgage lending runs without the real-time performance data the US market takes for granted. Alternative lenders, mortgage funds, PropTech and FinTech companies and analysts price risk with no live default, prepayment or benchmark figures to check against. Crypsey is built to be that reference.
How it works
The site lays it out in four steps. Loan data comes in from brokers, private lenders and credit unions through automated pipelines. It is anonymized and validated before anything is analysed, with personal information removed. Models then look for patterns and predict default and prepayment. The output is delivered through a REST and GraphQL API with Python and JavaScript SDKs, or through dashboards for teams that would rather read it than query it.
On top of that sit portfolio stress testing, custom reports and a white-label dashboard for firms that want the analytics under their own name.
